12:22:57 So welcome again everybody to the winter session of restorative reset. I'm Jen Barati. 12:23:04 I just appreciate everybody taking care, following any medical advice. 12:23:10 Really appreciate everybody coming out today. I'm just gonna share screen here 12:23:39 Just always taking care of yourself even. In our sessions or in other sessions that you might attend. 12:23:55 And then there's always a way to reach out. 12:24:01 So you can reach out to me before the sessions or after the sessions. You can also reach out to the OZI community to any of these local networks. 12:24:13 Or even to your own loved ones. There's always support. 12:24:23 So I'm really grateful for everybody coming on time, creating the safe container for everybody. 12:24:31 And know they can come early if that's supportive you can come and have your meal here feeling nourished and then finding your own cozy spot we've got options for chairs or the floor on a yoga mat or some comfy sofas. 12:24:47 And at home, find those comfortable spots to practise. All the sessions are inspired and informed by Irest, Integrated Restoration. 12:24:57 Coming from a yoghurt perspective. Non dualism. So this feeling of interconnectedness with everyone and everything around us. 12:25:05 It's not just a philosophy, it's not just an experience, but it's a way of being in the world. 12:25:11 And then interweaving these trauma informed practices of predictability through this structure that we follow each week. 12:25:19 Choice knowing that everything is an invitation. Sense of control, feeling free to adjust or modify the practices as you need to. 12:25:30 And cultural sensitivity, everything secular, and you can make it your own. 12:25:39 Just a reminder about. The restorative reset information. So. You can go to this. 12:25:47 Link that shows all the resources that we've been using throughout the year. All the different links through OZI through my website through Irest, Jabu Mind, which was made for teachers as an app for meditation that I listened to as well. 12:26:04 Same. Different resources for if you need to reach out to talk to somebody. 12:26:13 Just the structure to remind you. And what we're doing today, which is heartfelt desire. 12:26:18 As well as any upcoming. Summits that I might find, especially free ones, there are so many out there. 12:26:25 So this one's happening right now, the art of meditation with lots of recognizable meditators. 12:26:31 Levine, there's. Topra. So many, brain researchers as well, therapists. 12:26:42 And then upcoming is the Trauma Super Conference, which I really always enjoy attending. I'm Gabriel Gabramatte, who's a physician who really delves deep into trauma and addiction and he's a Canadian. 12:26:54 So it's always lovely to support. All the Canadians that are out there. Doing this great work. 12:27:00 And then here's the other resource again, just to remind you, Jen B. Yogi, I'm gonna point you towards. 12:27:06 Any videos that might be supportive. So I did these this collection during COVID with a friend who's a therapist and you'll find the recommendation in that link that I just showed you in the resources related to, heartfelt desire. 12:27:22 So there's some heartfelt desire and you can go back to practicing in a resource as well using some of these recordings. 12:27:28 And there's always our noisy wellness page. That shows all the previous ones from the fall. 12:27:37 As well as previous years. So there's so much support out there for you. 12:28:00 Very delicate so when I move it a certain way everything turns off so Thank you for your patience. 12:28:08 And. If there's anything that anybody would like to share, you're always welcome to. To share something that might have arisen while you practiced on your own. 12:28:23 Or feel free to email us and let us know everything's going as well. We always love to hear from you. 12:28:36 So continuing on with this Iris meditation, we've been connecting to the inner resource of unchanging ease and okayness that's always supporting us that we can tap into at a moment's notice. 12:28:48 So maybe we can tap into it as we go into this big question that humans naturally ask themselves, which is. 12:28:55 Why am I here on Earth? So what is my purpose? My mission. What is my core value? 12:29:03 Darma or North Star, whatever you want to call it. Okay. What is your why in the world? 12:29:11 What is your why for this lifetime? 12:29:14 During the practice today, I'll be guiding you through these questions. 12:29:20 What are my patterns of service or volunteering or work? What are my unique interests or abilities or skills? 12:29:29 What if people appreciated about me? 12:29:32 What would I happily do for free if I could? And just makes me smile because I'm gratefully doing what I would happily do for free and I Love that. 12:29:42 I'm able to offer yoga meditation. IRS meditation. And then hopefully you can maybe when you have a moment you can. 12:29:52 Delve deeper into all of this. So you visualize and feel and respond from the heart. Just see what's flowing naturally. 12:30:02 And then when you have a chance to make me listen to the recordings that I showed you on OIZ or on Gen B, Yogi Channel. 12:30:10 And then review the responses, maybe even circle. Any phrases or words that feel right. That you can eventually develop your own state. 12:30:19 Your own heartfelt desire statement that supports you. So for example, For me, when I first was getting my yoga teacher certification, one of the main assignments for that month. 12:30:31 It was finding our heartfelt desire for heartfelt intention, our solemn vow. So we call that Saint Kalpa in Sanskrit, or why for this lifetime. And Sanskrit, our Y for this lifetime. And it took me that whole month. 12:30:47 And what emerged was I for this lifetime. And it took me that whole month. And what emerged was I greatly serve all of my bodies. 12:30:50 So I can be of great service. I greatly serve my breath layer, my physical layer, emotions, thoughts, spirituality. 12:31:00 So I can be of great service. And that has really guided me towards all the choices in the way I live my life now. 12:31:07 And it's since evolved actually this San Kalpa since I did the two-year IRS certification and it's simply welcoming and being welcomed. 12:31:17 By all of life. And I continue to remember this and come back to it all the time, any moment as I interact with loved ones. 12:31:26 As I collaborate with others. Working in different settings. From elementary schools to UFT. And as experiences and opportunities arise, I keep checking it. 12:31:41 Welcoming and being welcomed. 12:31:44 So during this practice, may be inquired to each of these questions. Just being curious, noticing what's unfolding, what lands and what feels perfect. 12:31:54 But also feel free to allow the words just to float away and just stay with whatever is arising naturally in the body. 12:32:02 So as always, you'll be guided by my voice. 12:32:09 Feel free to stand or move in one spot. Lie down or sit. 12:32:18 All possibilities are welcomed. Staying completely alert and awake or even falling asleep or resting. 12:32:26 And if there's any discomfort at all. Feel free to gently open the eyes. Maybe ground the feet. 12:32:32 Might even look behind you to ground yourself in your spaces, moving the eyes. And then maybe you find some gentle movement in the body. 12:32:42 Just come back to the body. The invitation throughout today and this week. And until we meet again next week is to intentionally practice the heartfelt desire. 12:32:53 Feel into your why in the world your purpose just being curious and then feel supported by the inner resource as you connect to this deep. 12:33:03 This deep part felt question. So let's complete our time together. With IRS integrated restoration. 12:33:16 Just taking a few moments to settle in. To any resting comfortable position. 12:33:24 You might even look around you at first just to. Orientate yourself into the space you find yourself in today. 12:33:37 And then with eyes gazing. Opening or closing. 12:33:45 Might you trust everything supporting you? 12:33:50 Maybe even feeling comfortable to let go a little bit more. 12:33:57 And if there's any residue of the day. Or this week so far. Maybe imagine tucking it away, putting it in a drawer. 12:34:07 Laying it down for a while. 12:34:10 Just recognizing you can come back to it later. 12:34:14 And maybe even feeling a little bit more refreshed. Already. 12:34:23 And at your own pace, maybe allowing the sense to explore. 12:34:29 Just liberating them all around you. 12:34:36 Not needing to attach or detach. 12:34:41 Noticing any hints of color or light. Or shadows. 12:34:48 Any tastes? Okay. Residue of taste or sense. 12:34:58 Any warmth. 12:35:03 Places a coolness touch of air on the skin. 12:35:10 Any sounds. 12:35:15 Just noticing how. Everything, all perceptions. Arise and unfold. And then dissipate in their own time. 12:35:26 Without needing to fix or change anything. 12:35:32 And maybe allowing the body to make any final adjustments. To feel completely comfortable and at ease. 12:35:44 During IRS might you greet every experience as a messenger. Or a pointer. Just as it is. 12:35:58 Just take your time, might you welcome the inner resource. 12:36:03 Save haven or refuge. Noasis. 12:36:10 Supporting you and feeling safe and secure. Loved and at ease. 12:36:18 That is very moment. 12:36:24 Perhaps connecting to the inner resource. Through imagery, enlivened by all the senses. 12:36:35 Perhaps a place in nature. 12:36:41 Or an imagined place. 12:36:47 Maybe a memory. 12:36:56 Bring in whatever resonates. 12:37:07 Perhaps there's words. Connecting you to this unchanging source of okayness and ease. 12:37:15 Like peace. 12:37:21 Okay. 12:37:27 Okay. 12:37:32 At ease. 12:37:36 Whatever words resonate. Maybe bring those in. 12:37:43 And if there's no words, this 2 is a perfect experience. 12:37:52 And a felt sense in the body. 12:37:55 What do you feel the inner resource of ease in okayness? 12:38:01 Maybe a release of the muscles in the body. In the belly. Shoulders. The hinges of the jaw. 12:38:14 Maybe it feels like energy flowing more freely throughout the body. 12:38:23 Maybe there's a warmth emanating from the heart center. Or spaciousness in the body. 12:38:30 Just recognize in a firm that you can return to this inner resource at any time. 12:38:37 During this practice. 12:38:41 And in everyday life. 12:38:44 Whenever you feel the need for being secure. And safe. 12:38:51 Okay, and at ease. 12:38:59 And as you're ready, might you reflect upon the heart's deepest desire? 12:39:04 Bombing or contribution. Purpose for this lifetime. 12:39:13 Or why in the world. 12:39:20 Might you visualize and feel the way? 12:39:24 Noticing what's naturally unfolding. 12:39:30 Feel free to invite my words in. 12:39:34 Or just let them float away. 12:39:41 If it feels right, just take a moment. To feel in to each question. 12:39:49 Noticing what's arising naturally from the heart. 12:39:55 What are my patterns of service? 12:40:00 Volunteering. 12:40:04 Work. 12:40:16 Is feeling what the answer is in the body. That's a rising naturally. 12:40:26 And then feeling into. What are my unique interests? 12:40:32 Abilities. 12:40:35 Skills. 12:40:45 Taking the time to feel the answer. 12:40:57 When you're ready, feeling into. What if people appreciated about me? 12:41:13 What's unfolding naturally from the heart space. 12:41:27 And when you're ready, feeling into. What would I have do for free if I could? 12:41:39 What's flowing from the heart. 12:41:47 Just recognize it's totally acceptable if there's Not, not sure yet. 12:42:03 Just taking the time to experience and affirm the felt sense. Of this heartfelt desire. 12:42:12 As true at this very moment. 12:42:17 As if you're living and expressing your heartfelt desire with the entire body. 12:42:30 And when you're ready, maybe laying it down. Thing it aside for now. Just welcoming how it reappears during this practice and in daily life. 12:42:43 If there's any other perceptions that are arising. 12:42:47 Just noticing. Without needing to fix or change anything. How they dissipate in their own time. 12:42:57 And then as you're ready. Maybe reflecting upon an intention. Your why for this moment. Or practice. 12:43:07 Intention that supports you in realizing this heartfelt desire. 12:43:15 Perhaps an intention of welcoming what naturally flows from the heart. 12:43:27 Or whatever else resonates for you at this very moment. 12:43:35 Remember and fully welcoming this intention with the whole body in mind. 12:43:50 And then allowing my words to be your words. I said tension flow to the body. 12:44:00 Without needing to shift or soften. Just feel the way. 12:44:08 Sensing the jaw and mouth. 12:44:18 Following sensation through the nostrils. 12:44:27 Dissolving through the ears. 12:44:36 Sensing the eyes. 12:44:42 Attention resting on the forehead. 12:44:49 And then taking the time to sense the entire face and head as sensation. 12:45:00 Following sensation throughout the body. 12:45:08 The unified face, head, and body. As sensation. 12:45:22 And the felt sense of the inner resource of being and well being. 12:45:33 Noticing attention. Following the breath as the body breathes itself. 12:45:45 Changing sensations reveal something unchanging. Pure being, which you also are. 12:46:03 And to the degree that feels possible. Let me just notice if there's any messengers that are arising naturally. 12:46:11 Anything calling for the attention. 12:46:18 Without needing to analyze or judge. 12:46:22 Just feeling the way. 12:46:30 And if there's nothing, this too is a perfect experience. 12:46:40 Just stay with whatever's most calling for attention. 12:46:49 And notice where do you feel this in the body? 12:46:54 Where does this messenger arise? Naturally in the body. 12:47:02 Maybe even interweaving the inner resource of being and well being. 12:47:09 If other perceptions arise. Let me just noticing them. Notice how they also expand and dissipate in their own time. 12:47:23 And then as you're ready, maybe staying with whatever it brings the greatest ease and okayness in the body. 12:47:30 Letting everything else dissolve. Back to where it came from. Act to unchanging awareness, pure being. 12:47:39 Which contains everyone and everything. 12:47:46 Maybe notice if Joy appears. Joy that's independent of anything and anyone. 12:47:55 Feeling through the heart space. 12:47:59 Smile from the heart space. 12:48:07 And noticing too how joy. And folds and expanse. And also dissolves. Back to where it came from. 12:48:20 Imagine going about everyday life. Awareness awake and aware of itself. 12:48:29 Sense in the firm how in each moment. 12:48:34 You do always recognize the perfect and precise response. 12:48:39 To each situation in life. 12:48:54 And just taking your time, maybe start to transition back to waking life. 12:49:03 Be allowing the census to explore once again. 12:49:09 And a hint of color or light or shadows. 12:49:16 Any sounds. 12:49:20 Tastes. 12:49:24 Any fragrances in the air. 12:49:28 And feeling back into the supports. Doing that weight of the body being embraced. 12:49:38 Embrace by the temperature in the air. 12:49:43 Places of coolness. 12:49:49 And eyes gradually opening in closing several times to integrate this experience. 12:49:56 Everybody starting to find movement. Toes and fingers wiggling. 12:50:02 All the while. So feeling and welcoming with the heart, what's unfolding naturally. 12:50:14 And feeling the inner resource of ease and okayness supporting. Us all along the way. 12:50:23 Let's gradually moving back into everyday life. Eyes wide awake. Grateful for this time together and the practice of arrest. 12:50:34 Thank you. So much for making time and I hope you find moments to feel back into this. Such an important question about our heartfelt desire. 12:50:45 Better body and our heart already knows. 12:50:50 And we'll just wake up a little bit maybe. Let's bring some movement to the neck. 12:50:54 It's always nice to feel into the neck. So just sitting up tall, actual extension. When you're ready, maybe inviting that extension in the back, selection in the front. 12:51:04 The breath. Inhale slowly opening up the neck. So that neck, maybe in the chest opening. Contraction in the back flexion. 12:51:15 A little bit of movement back and forth. 12:51:19 And then when you're ready coming to that side, Ben, here towards the shoulder. Nice. Contraction on one side, flexion, and then expansion and extension on the other. 12:51:32 And then slowly finding it on the other side. Releasing the shoulder. Slowly going back and forth. 12:51:44 If it feels okay, come back to center, inviting a twist, the last movements of the spine. 12:51:51 Just see a range of motion. 12:51:55 One more time. 12:52:00 Okay, so hopefully you'll find moments to allow the body to play as well. And I look forward to seeing you next week. 12:52:08 We'll continue with the heartfelt desire. Thanks.
