Note: Registration link sent to all 小黄书视频 Community members via email.
We are pleased to invite you to our online Focus on Research lecture series for 2024-5. All 小黄书视频 community members are welcome to attend.
Professor will discuss the role of emotions in generating research agendas, responding to feedback to proposed research, and engaging students as collaborators. Contrary to popular belief, emotions in research are not specific to female or feminised researchers. It is fear yet desire for power, control over social and political realities, and perceived self- agency that drive our research agendas across racial, gender, sexual, and cultural specificities. Professor Todorova will share how emotions and the force of institutional and social power have shaped her professional choices regarding research directions. She will further discuss how she has used 鈥渞esearch lemons鈥 to brew delicious lemonade in the form of a new book entitled Postsocialism as a Method: Emotional Aspects and Interdisciplinary Applications.
