All levels of education have a responsibility to support the widespread cultural shifts needed to ensure equitable, just, and sustainable communities, so why isn’t education being positioned as a key site for climate action?  Teacher education programs in particular offer the potential for creating a ripple effect in climate action in communities, given their influence on pre-service and practicing teachers’ professional learning. Join Dr. Hilary Inwood for an introduction to how teacher educators at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ) at the University of Toronto are working in partnership with local school boards and NGOs to develop a collaborative approach to deepening climate action with K-12 teachers and their students. This free session is part of the , hosted by the Center for Sustainable Futures at Teachers College, Columbia University.
