The Department of Curriculum, Teaching & Learning (CTL) is the largest of four departments at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (СƵ). Whether you're looking to deepen your understanding of curriculum theory, enhance your teaching practices, or embark on a new career path in education, CTL offers the resources and support you need to thrive. With a diverse community of tenured, research, and teaching stream faculty, the department offers a wide-range of graduate courses and programs relating to academic scholarship and professional practice.

Teacher Education

Our 2-year Master of Teaching program allows you to earn a graduate degree, conduct research, and become eligible to apply for teacher certification.

Welcome to the Department of Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning (CTL) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (СƵ), University of Toronto. As Chair, I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to all our future, new, and returning students. 

In CTL, you will study with faculty who are world-class researchers committed to imagining and building innovative and inclusive educational futures and whose research is interdisciplinary, creative, and impactful.
