Inspire and Lead: Co-Chair the С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ GSRC!

The Ð¡»ÆÊéÊÓƵ Graduate Student Research Conference (GSRC) provides a special opportunity for С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ students to present their research work in a familiar and collegial setting thereby contributing to their scholarly activities.

We are expected to start planning the Ð¡»ÆÊéÊÓƵ GSRC 2025 which will showcase the quality and depth of С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ  students’ academic work for the 25th year. The GSRC is organized for and by С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ students with operating support from the Ð¡»ÆÊéÊÓƵ Graduate Students’ Association (GSA) and the Dean’s Office.

We are looking for at least three students to co-chair the С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ GSRC 2025. Co-chairs should have experience in organizing conferences to help in coordinating this very special event. We have set aside funds to pay $500 to each co-chair to collaboratively organize the event along with the support and input of the С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ Graduate Students’ Association and С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ Associate Dean, programs portfolio staff.

Individuals interested in co-chairing together are welcome to submit a joint application. Selection criteria will be based on the qualifications of the candidates and the quality of the concept proposed for the conference.

Some details to consider when creating your submission:

  1. Students may apply individually or as a team of 2-3 (applications from teams may have the advantage of established relationships).
  2. Your submission should include:
    1. An Expression of Interest (for each member)
    2. A Curriculum Vitae (for each member)
    3. A structured conference proposal is recommended, including such details as:
      1. Description of your concept
      2. Vision
      3. Theme
      4. Format/Structure
  3. Some criteria that may be used by the committee to identify competitive proposals:
    1. Uniqueness of vision
    2. Academic suitability of concept and theme
    3. Practicality of structure / vision
    4. Professionalism of the proposal
    5. Other applicable perspectives
