Biography

Dareen is a doctoral student in the Educational Leadership and Policy program within the LHAE department at С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ. As a dedicated social worker with extensive experience working with vulnerable communities, she has led numerous projects empowering youth and women. Driven by a profound commitment to building an inclusive and supportive academic community, Dareen is passionate about research at the intersection of educational policy, leadership, and social justice. Her work focuses on the unique and often overlooked experiences of BIPOC leaders in public education systems, striving to ensure that the voices of equity-deserving groups are meaningfully represented in academic research. Dareen is particularly interested in equity and inclusion research that advances non-dominant knowledge and epistemologies. She firmly believes in the transformative potential of collaborative learning and values creating spaces where diverse perspectives can flourish. For her, this conference represents an invaluable opportunity to unite passionate scholars, showcase groundbreaking research, and foster an empowering environment where graduate students are supported in presenting their impactful work.
