The conference volunteers will be supporting the co-chairs with the ongoing planning and implementation of the conference, starting November 11, 2024.
Volunteer Committee Opportunities
С»ÆÊéÊÓƵ graduate students can apply to volunteer for positions in the following committees:
Event Planning Committee
Event Planning Committee will focus on organizing the logistics of the conference. Responsibilities may include scheduling, venue setup, managing catering coordination, and ensuring smooth overall event flow.
Registration & Welcome Committee
Registration & Welcome Committee will be responsible for managing attendee check-ins, distributing materials, and guiding participants on the event day to ensure a welcoming experience for all.
Public Relations & Marketing Committee
Public Relations & Marketing Committee will handle event promotion. Responsibilities may include managing social media accounts, designing flyers/posters, conducting email outreach, and increasing event visibility.
Academic & Speaker Coordination Committee
Academic & Speaker Coordination Committee will work closely with presenters and speakers. Responsibilities may include reviewing presentation proposals, communicating with presenters, organizing research panels, and assisting with any speaker-related needs during the event.
Technology Support Committee
Technology Support Committee will ensure the smooth operation of the conference’s technical aspects. Responsibilities may include setting up and managing audio/visual equipment, troubleshooting technical issues during sessions, and providing tech support to speakers.
Session Moderator (also known as Chair)
Session Moderator (also known as Chair) will be responsible for facilitating research panels, introducing presenters, ensuring sessions stay on time, and managing Q&A sessions.
Volunteer Coordination Committee
Volunteer Coordination Committee will oversee the recruitment and organization of volunteers. Responsibilities may include managing volunteer sign-ups, assigning roles and tasks, and organizing volunteer briefings to ensure smooth event operations.
