This professional development workshop is designed to help PhD students navigate the competitive process of applying for a Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Post-Doctoral Fellowship. Securing a post-doc is a pivotal step in your academic career, and this session will provide you with practical advice and strategies for preparing a strong application that highlights your research potential, academic achievements, and future contributions to the field.

In this workshop, you will learn how to craft a compelling application that aligns with SSHRC’s funding priorities, including how to articulate the significance of your research, demonstrate its potential impact, and present your skills in a clear and persuasive manner. You’ll also gain insights into the review criteria and expectations of the selection committee, ensuring you can position your project for success.
